Day 1 - Epcot:

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Tip of the Day

If you have rented a golf cart at Fort Wilderness, pack a towel in the bench seat if it's the rainy season. Even better, cover the seats with a rain poncho and come back to a dry ride!

Soarin' and the Land:

My excitement over the new ride, who might want to avoid it, and how it's brought more guests to The Land.

Soaring

Summary of Magic Kingdom the night before and the day at Epcot:

The things we did Saturday night at Magic Kingdom and what we did at Epcot on Sunday.

Magic Kingdom and Epcot

A little note on the Food and Wine Festival:

Just something I noticed about the Festival this year.

Food Festival Note

Here's some other notes from the day.

Who doesn't love the Food and Wine Festival! Okay, some people don't, but we had a great time. We started from the Canadian side and worked our way around. Not every booth had something vegetarian, but we still found plenty to eat! We also loved the celebration signs, including those from other Disney parks like DisneyLand's and Tokyo Disney.

We took the boat across the lagoon back to World Showcase. The CM gave a great spiel: "Please gather up your belongings including small children. Any children left behind will be divided by nationality and used in Small World."

We had beautiful weather, sunny and not real hot, most of the day. When we stopped for dinner (not that we were that hungry!) in Japan's sushi lounge, the rain caught up to us. The most amazing thing happened though: we saw a line of dark clouds over Future World pass over Spaceship Earth and it looked line a curtain of thin dark wire dragged underneath of it. The wall of rain passed over Future World, across the lagoon, and into World Showcase. It was fascinating to be able to watch it like that.

Of course, we stayed put until it passed over. Big grin But you saw people walking around turn, watch it cross the lagoo, and then scatter like locusts were coming!

A couple was in the lounge with T-shirts saying their son served in Iraq. Now, I'm against that war, but naturally not against the soldiers. So I went up and thanked their son for serving and said I hoped he'd come home safely and soon.

On the bus ride back, I noticed the Timon & Pumba safety signs are still on the buses. Good! I like those designs; they're so much fun. I've tried getting photos of them, but they're always blurry. But Disney has a site for them and a brochure, so I grabbed shots of them for my Disney signs screensaver.

Best Pal Mickey moment

Going through Italy, he gives the history of how Italians started making Parmesan cheese 900 years ago and follow the exact same 'recipe' to this day. "I've heard of aged cheese, but 900 years...?!"

Pleasure Island:

Wow, Raglan Road looks almost done! And so big! Much bigger than we expected We keep trying to get peeks through the construction walls.

It's good to be back in the Adventurers Club! Good to see a lot of favorites back in their roles and some of the regular guests. But we miss the bands on the West End Stage. On our last trip, we enjoyed the band who replaced Frankie. It looks so abandoned at that end now.

It outta be a pin

The next pin in the Stupid Guest series. For the people who can't figure out how to go through the turnstiles because of the finger scan or how the Magic Your Way pass works, despite the signs, the step by step in the guidemaps (given to you when you checked in), and the CMs desperately trying to get them to LISTEN!: Scuttle the seagull trying to get a key in a door while even Goofy and Dopey roll their eyes.
